Introduction Text I started sparkpeople in Jan 2008 weighing about 160 lbs (I didn't have a good scale, so I'm estimating). I eat right and have managed to maintain my goal weight range of 120-130 for almost a year now. My health philosophy was learned in Europe: "Everything in moderation" and eat quality food- it makes a difference. "I know, simply reciting these facts, most of which are drawn from poultry trade magazines, makes me sound like one of those animal people, doesn’t it? I don’t mean to (remember, I got into this vegetarian deal assuming I could eat eggs), but this is what can happen when… you look. And what you see when you look is the cruelty - and the blindness to cruelty - required to produce eggs that can be sold for seventy-nine cents a dozen." Pg 318 from The Omnivore’s Dilemma Buddha: Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.

Yeah! I made it into a healthy BMI range! and my thighs stopped rubbing together when I wear shorts. (Accomplished 7/15/09) I want to lower the percentage of fat on my body and build muscle.

Basically, just following the spark program plus adding more sustainable and organic foods into my diet. Working out regularly and eating right.

I love to read, cook, garden, dogs, recycling, Quinton Tarentino movies, spell checker, Russian authors, canvas shopping bags, a clean kitchen, red wine, badminton, getting good grades, sweaters and that blue color that is iconic of tiffany’s.
