Hi. I learned about "SparkPeople" in December of 2006, and when I got serious about tracking my nutrition and exercise I was able to lose 25 pounds in 6 months. I want to be around for a long time for my family so after losing 29# with Spark People I went on to the Medifast diet. As of Sept 2008 I had lost 57 pounds and had only 3 more to get off. I have spent most of my adult life gaining so I could hardly believe what I was able to write on this page about losing weight!

Currently I'm struggling with regaining some of the weight. Those nasty old habits have reared their heads. That doesn't mean I have to stay at this point though. I am using SparkCoach and I will do the work again, learn new and better habits, and reach my goal of 60# off!

My Goals:
1. To offer my body as a living sacrifice to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
2. To reach my ultimate goal of losing 55 pounds. Be at 150 and in size 10 clothes!
3. Reach and maintain BMI below 25.
4. Be very active with my DH (we love motorcycle riding), my children, and my grandkids (currently there are 7 of them).
5. Be able to encourage others (if I can do it, you can!).
My Program:
1. Attitude: being my own best friend, encouraging myself, having faith that I can do it!
2. Consistency: working to meet my 6 goals.
Getting enough sleep
8 glasses of water daily
5 fruits/veggies daily
Watching portions
Exercising 4 times weekly
Daily devotions
Personal Information:
I live in Michigan. I've been married to my husband, Jerry, for 43 years. We have 2 married children, 2 wonderful "in-law" children, 6 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. We are very blessed to have more than doubled the size of our family in the last 12 years, and to know that all of the adults and our oldest grandson have given Jesus first place in their lives!
Other Information:
I love to read mysteries. I also like to camp, hike, knit, scrapbook, and study God's Word.
