Introduction Text Being sometimes derailed by injury and illness has taught me that consistency-- more than any other tool in the box-- is not a "nice-to-have" but a "must." My very best days are healthy days with things like: - Running, pilates, yoga and playtime - Kale :) - Celebrating & feeling grateful every day

COMING UP: = 11/27: Virtual 10K = 12/14: IAWR 5K DONE: * 10/6/13: Wineglass Half Marathon 2:43:13 * 5/17/13: Completed 14 hours of driving in one weekend, without reinjuring my hip. * 12/8/12: Finished It's A Wonderful Run 38:51 *11/17/12: Finish a solid 5K run pain-free *10/10/12: Swam 10 laps without freaking out. * 9/5/12: Hip is strong enough to resume running * 8/24/12: Hip is strong enough to take DD to college. * 4/29/12: 4H 5K Duck Race 35:25 * Winter '12: Tame The Sugar Challenge - Essential! * 12/3/11: It's A Wonderful Run 5K 37:17 * 10/15/11: Cancer Sucks 5K 33:07 * 10/2/11: Wineglass Half Marathon 2:41:14 FOR EVER: **Stop the back pain associated with the sedentary life! **Sustain the energy for adventure!

* Running 3x/week * ST 3x/week * Yoga and/or Pilates 5x/week * Playtime 1/week Eat real food. Not too much. Mostly plants. Increasingly local.

40-somethingish mom of a fabulous DD and a GSD rescue. Love to be rooted at home (where these grapes are growing on my deck, btw), AND love to be out seeing the world.
