I'm not healthy! And I'm tired of it!

My name is Kristina, and for the last 15 years I have been dealing with Fibromyalgia and Thyroid problems. I'm at my highest weight now and it is taking it's toll on me; making me feel the worst I have ever felt.

The other day my husband made a comment that struck me like a kick to the gut. He said I wouldn't be around much longer if I continued the way I was going. His words stung. For the past couple of years I had been thinking the same thing. The problem is, I use my chronic pain and lack of energy as an excuse to not start a new way of life. I'm always just too tired and too sore to do anything. Life has become a perpetual cycle of pain, laziness, poor eating habit, and excuses.

It stops now! I'm only 45 and I have things I want to do before my time is up. So, I'm taking the steps to make that happen. I begin today.

My Goals:
I'm not aiming for skinny. I'm aiming for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.


My Program:
My program is self-designed with the help Spark People. I hate working out in front of others, so I will be working out at home. I have some weights, a stability ball, resistance bands, and a couple of good yoga DVD's. And I'll be using the bottom step of my stair case as a replacement to my reebok step I threw away (!) 4 years ago, and YouTube.
For food, I will just try to be sensible. I have a tendency to become extreme in my food choices, so I won't be cutting anything out completely. Well...maybe soda.



Personal Information:
I'm 45, have been married for 27 years, and have 2 adult daughters. I work full-time and go to school part-time with the goal to become a professional counselor.


Other Information:
My favorite things include: Dogs, horses, and the rest of the animal world, reading, Netflix binges, nature, family time, Hello Kitty (no, I'm not too old!), pink, baths, girly things, goth things, learning logic, science, philosophy, and spa days.
