When I started spark in January one of my goals was to make a lifestyle change so that there is no more "dieting". I also wanted to be a positive role model for my girls. I have accomplished both of these and need to continue. I started to run in the middle of March and I have set a goal to run a half marathon at the end of September. I am close to that goal and I am halfway to my goal weight. I have my daughters eating more fruits and vegetables (because that is what is handy to grab) for snacks. They also notice how much more active I am and know that I need my me time to get my running done in the mornings.

To continue to eat good fruits and vegetables and to reach my goal weight. To continue to push myself.

rest from cardio M/F
eat 9 fruits/veggies a day
drink 80 oz water/day

Personal Information:
I live in the country in Illinois close to the Quad Cities. I like to take my runs on the country roads by my house or on the bike path by the Mississippi River.

    Thanks for your kind words on my blog! It was SO hard sometimes to see others lose huge amounts of weight so fast when my weight loss was so slow. However, I stuck with it and followed my own path and it lead me to a whole new life that I could not have imagined!

    Welcome to Sparkpeople. I saw your comment on how to dress and my first response is that I live in Milwaukee and I dress warm enough to go from the car to the indoor track at the local high school!! I always overdress when I run outside. Usually when it hits 40F, I go outside. Good luck with the running!
