I am creeping up on being 31 yrs old and have battled the bulge for a while now. I must begin to think of myself as becoming that person that I want to be. I struggle mostly with taking myself to the gym and eating the right foods. I am taking a big step in hoping to jumpstart my weight loss with the message boards, inspirational quotes, great recipes and fitness exercises that SparkPeople has to offer.

I just recently read DopeyD73's profile and she inspires me by her words - she said she is committed to her lifestyle change -- that she is "married" to her weight loss...I have to say I couldn't say it better!

I need to include INTENSITY into my lifestyle Change - because nothing can be done successfully unless I am in it 110%! I need to be strong with food, drink my water and be intense at the gym! I look forward to this year and losing weight - the commitment of a lifestyle that will allow me to live longer!

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to lose close to 50 pounds. In order to achieve my life goal I have to have intermediate goals - that is to lose this weight at 10 pound intervals. Giving myself a pat for each "step" towards my ultimate goal.


My Program:
Eat healthy by cutting out some of the calories and carbs that I too often over indulge in.

Also to stay on an exercise routine that includes cardio and weights.

In order to become who you want to be, you have to envision what it takes to become that person. Be mindful to your choices and know that with every choice, good or bad, comes a consequence.

    The 3 day weekend wasn't great for me either! I didn't really exercise, unless you count shopping, ha! I guess I did eat okay, but had one horrible Mexican dinner on Saturday! Not my best plan. Amazing how quickly your body changes and adjusts, and then starts rejecting things you used to enjoy!
    But it's a new day and I'm back in the game. The office pool sounds fun! I'm the only person in my office, so that won't work for me. I do have friends that are trying to lose weight too though...maybe I can get something going with them!
