2018 Update - I reached my goal weight November 25, 2012. Most of 2017 I hovered just above goal weight but I didn't stress. I continued to maintain my healthy habits.

2018 called for some adjustments. I went through PT for a strained periformis and rediscovered the importance of regular strength training, falling in love with dreaded lunges and glute work along with other muscle groups.

I do not define myself by the scale. It's not about being skinny for me. It's about strength and endurance now.

I believe in baby steps to achieve goals and maintain lifelong healthy habits.

I look forward to continue learning from Spark friends and staying active in 2019!

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.
The family puzzles are serving a triple purpose.
Keeping my brain engaged while remembering the past and hoping for a return to travel.

If you are shopping for puzzles online, check out the company carefully.
Many months ago I ordered "Monuments of the World" and "HIts of Broadway" and was shipped 2 identical puzzles of "Popular horror movies" They refused to do anything about it. Filing a complaint with my credit card company got my money back, but it seems to be a scam of emptying the warehouse of unpopular stuff.

I went back to school for another more useful degree when I was 45, it took me 10 years to finish. A faculty member I respected took me aside and said very sternly, YOU MUST FINISH THIS DEGREE. Whenever I was ready to quit, I remembered his words and kept going. I was so glad when it was over but so very glad I finished it. Fortitude and persistence.
