24 year old - Mother of a 6 yo awesome little boy 5'5" from-

Highest Weight-230lbs - when pregnant

210lbs in July 2006

Start Weight October 2007-170lbs

Goal W-125lbs- MET!!! October19th 2009

New Goal - Maintain between 120 and 130lbs-----Still going strong 122lbs on 8-14-2010

I started my weight loss journey in October 2007, after watching "Super Size Me" and stumbling across a website (caloriecount.about.com). You see I worked at a McDonalds at that time and I had always known that I wanted to and needed to lose weight I just never actually did anything about it except drown my sorrows in chocolate, which obviously just made the situation worse.
I did really well for a while, I cut down my calories to 1200-1500 a day with very few "free" days in the mix. I went from 170lbs in October '07 to 135lbs in May '08. Which I was ecstatic about since it was my first real attempt at losing weight and cutting calories.
However since then I have managed to try to stay on track however I have been slacking off way to much because I have gained 5lbs back instead of loosing more. I am currently 140lbs and I set a goal for myself at 125lbs. I know I have that much to lose without losing muscle, I just need to get back to the diet and start an excercise routine.

-update- 10-19-09-
It took me 2 years but I've finally hit my goal weight!!! actually surprized because I went on vacation and ate more than usual, came home and got back on track and a couple days later I step on the scale and...wow...124.4lbs...yay...thats actually past where I was aiming for...all those years of being big and wanting to loose it...now I finally have and it feels awesome...now what??? maybe i'll train to run a 5K...

-update- 8-14-2010-
Ok def time to update this. So far been doing good at maintiaining my weight, I have been consistantly exercising and keeping close to my calorie goals, little high but no gain to show for it, which I'm happy about.
I can now actually go 6.5 miles in 70 minutes. I have recently started training for a 10k...not sure what 10k I'm going to do but I'm training to be able to do one at least. I can now run over a mile at a shot, I have been doing the spark your way to 10k and have done week 5 3 times and am going to try week 6 next.
OH...AND I can fit into a pair of 3/4 jeans!!! I never thought my hips would let me get out of 7's let alone getting into 3/4's!!! My arms and shoulders are becoming nice and getting serious definition now, my legs are no slouch either with all the running lately. Stomach still has a way to go but I can only expect so much when I was so big for so long.
I still have hope that the skin will tighten back up just need to stay positive...any way will update soon...and by the way, I LOVE SPARKPEOPLE!!!

Cardio 3-4x weekly
Strength Training 2-3 times a week
Started on 6-7-2010---going strong still 8-14-2010...strength today!!!

Eating enough fruits and veggies, getting enough protein and staying within calorie range
