Introduction Text Trying to eat better and up my exercise. Also want to try new ways of burning calories. I love doing anything outside, especially if it involves the water.

I'm aiming to loose 20lbs by mid/end Summer 2010. I really want to go rock climbing once I hit that goal,... and maybe snowboarding too :)

I've lost nearly 70lbs so far, but still have a bit of a way to go.

I'm from houston, tx orinially and come from an italian/irish/german background, soooo there was always tons of yummy fattening food in the house. i've been overweight since about 6 yrs old, and i'm tired of it. i've tried many diets, and even some pills, but then figured out i really need to change myself and my attitude towards life before i could change my body (and have lasting results).

A diet/fitness book that i actually read cover to cover was jillian michael's winning by loosing. i really suggest it! i'm not really following her "plan" but it helped me to figure out what type of body i had and how to get over the whole "i'm fat, nobody likes me, i'll never have a boyfriend, blah blah" i gained quite a bit of confidence just reading this book (how many books can you say that about) i'm a subscriber (sp?) to shape magazine and i'm creating my own little binder of favorite workouts and recipies, its kinda fun to just organize your favorite things and have them so easily accessable (sp? again, i'm a horrrrrible speller)
