Okay, now I'm jealous! LOL I did live in Austria for a summer '89 and in Russia for 4 years...home in '98...but all a very long time ago! Actually, i'm happy for you....just would love to do the same one day.
As for your son, he sounds like many of my students. Look forward to the email. Here are some questions: What are his strengths, interests, desires, what would he love to do all day if he had the opportunity? What does he dread about school? What subjects are difficult? Why? What about his behaviors? 3168 days ago

I love traveling and living in foreign lands. I, too, get frustrated with the other teachers because they constantly assume that the kids are defiant and dumb instead of different types of learners. Some just need different approaches. If I can help, let me know. Much of my job is devising creative approaches and intervening on behalf of the students. 3168 days ago

Depends on the year; Depends on the day! This is the first year I'll be doing the same thing two years in a row...Running a learning center for HS students. 70% of my class time is reteaching Algebra II, 20% teaching writing. This is to individuals who just don't get it! 10% of class time is intervening between teachers who think they mean well by kicking students out of class left and right. I'm assuming your on a military base? What do you do? 3168 days ago
