My weight loss journey

My Goals:
I have to keep acheivable goals for myself otherwise I just get unmotivated really fast. So lately it has been as simple as to loose 7 lbs a month. Even though I usally loose atleast 10lbs a month.It makes you feel good when you go above and beyond the goals you set for yourself. I want to be my high school size again. I would love to be a size 5 but I will defianlty take a size 7. I started at a 16 and now 14's are falling off so that makes me feel great! I just want to be a healthy parent for my family.

My Program:
 Well I usally eat at least 1200-1600 calories a day. I try to avoid saturated and trans fats as much as posible. I eat 3 meals a day with a snack in between each meal. I drink loads of water as well. I take vitamins to give me energy for my workout's and just because they are good for me as well. Portion control is key at meal times.
I run 2 miles 4 times a week and do strength training 3 days a week. All from the luxury of my own home. I am putting my husband through college so I don't have the time or $$$ for a gym membership.


Personal Information:
My name is Krystina I am from Michigan. I am happily married with 2 little girls. I gained 80lbs with pregnancy. I was always a very thin active person untilol I gained all that weight and got very depressed. But now I have lost 40lbs and feel better than ever. I am half way to my weight loss goal. I love to run. I want to do a 5k in the spring with my husband he is on a weight loss journey as well. We work out and eat right together. He is inspiring. But God is who has given me the strength to get through this. Without him I would have never started running again.He also gives me the will power to fight my cravings and energy to get through my busy days. I have to give him credit. I love having a relationship with him! So anyways I know I will like this new sparkpeople.com I can't wait to get started!

    It's really funny that you posted! My daughter is in dire need ot a trim and I was going to bring her in either today or tomorrow. I was in and saw your sister right before she left - 3 weeks or so ago - got a cut and a color. You guys were on vacation. She told me all about you taking ownership. That is really cool!

    I am doing the Capital City River run 1/2 marathon. I'm pretty excited too. My goal is to finish in 2 hours 40 minutes. I've ran a couple 10 mil races and have been able to finish them in just under 2 hours, so I think this is a reasonable goal for me. ;-)

    You look GREAT too! Isn't amazing what eating right and exercising can do for ya. It's kind of crazy that more people aren't doing it.

    Hi there!

    The more you play around the more you'll figure it out. In order to find your friends you have to know what their user names are. If they haven't created their SparkPage yet, then you won't be able to find them.

    Good luck finding them! Worse comes to worse you can send them your User name and ahve them find you. ;-)

    Welcome to Spark, and best wishes on your journey. SP has a lot of great features and I suggest you take it slow and not become overwhelmed. Join some groups for motivation and support! DONE is my fav ;) but maybe I'm biased. lol.

    The stairway to success has thousands of steps. Take them one at a time and with the positive assurance that you will reach the top!
