Sensational Sixties!
2017- More ups (on the scale) than downs... but starting fresh... Read the book "The Shift"... it was a great inspiration to me. I started my new outlook and journey on Jan 16, 2017... My page title was Fabulous Fifties- in 2010 when I was 55.. Now I am 62.. so changing my title to Sensational Sixties!... Here we go.... I see next year this time in my mind very clearly... 50 lbs down!!!

1.(1/15) Lose 10 lbs by Valentines day -lost 8.4 (yea!)
Note: 2/16-weighed-179.6- Met my goal of losing 10.4 lbs!
New Goal: (2/14) Lose 8 lbs by St Patricks day-
2. Track food and fitness every day
3. Find a motivational quote to live by each day and put it on my computer desktop to view
4. Blog to inspire others or just for confirmation for myself

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

I am tracking my food and fitness and weight everyday. I have set short term goals and long term goals. I am comparing myself to know one else. I am in it to be a better me--not become someone else!

My name is Karen, I am 55 years old this year -Jan 5, 2010. i have been married to my husband, Randy for 27 years since May 28, 1983. I have 4 boys and one grandaughter, and a new Daughter-in-law- Kayla- August 1, 2009. I live in McPherson, Kansas
Jan 5-2017.. 62 years young!... to be continued....
Other Information:
I enjoy crocheting, biking and walking with my husband in the summertime. I also enjoy walking on nature trails. Cooking for my family is always fun, and I am in the process of trying to get all my recipes put together to pass on to my boys- who also like to cook!
