Hi. My name is Kim. I am a 28 year old mother of three. I am having a horrible year so far and I want to turn it around for me. I lost my mother in Jan of this year and two weeks later I had to have a tumor removed from my ovary. Needless to say I am pretty warn out and depressed. But I need to begin to set my life back on track.
Let me rewind. Last May( 06) I found out I weighted almost 400 pds and my world was flipped up side down. I joined Weight Watchers and began to lose 3-5 pds and week. I joined my locate YMCA and a water aerobics class. I was proud of myself.. I then stopped Weight Watchers to try the Six Week Body Make Over program. Although I did lose 5-8 pds a week. It was really hard for me to keep up with. And when I decided to go back to Weight Watchers my mother got worse and was given 6 months to live. I figured it was more important for me to take care of her than go to the gym or count my points. Three months later she was gone and I have fallen into a deep depression. I told myself I will start back at the gym first of this year. And then I had to have emergency surgery to remove a tumor. The tumor was so large that they had to remove it like a c-section. And I am sure my weight didn't help matter either. My scar as just in the last week healed all the way and I am started to think I might feel better to get out and start to exercise. So I start today.. Thanks for all the support..

My Goals:
Ok.. I was always told to keep your goals with in your reach.. My main Goal is to lose 190- 200 lbs.

Short term goals.
Lost atleast 5 lbs in a month.

To lose 15 lbs by my birthday in May.

Lose 30 lbs by the beginning of the school year.

And I would like to add another goal.. To quit Smoking.
I promised my mother I would!!.
Goal is to quit by Monday..
So much easier to breath when working out.

My Program:
I am hoping to start this SP program and set myself back on track.
I plan to go to the gym atleast 3 days a week. 5 if I can tolerate it. I hope to maybe rejoin my water aerobics class.
I will try and park further away from the STORE. So I will walk more outside of the gym,
I am planning to keep a journal to help me focus on my feelings and stress level to help me not eat. I tend to be an emotional eater.

Personal Information:
My name is Kimberly, You can call me Kim. I am a 28 year old mother of three. Live in Tennessee. Married almost 10 years which most times seems like 30. I am a nursing study. Well I was.. I recently took off to take care of my mother. So I have been out of college for a year now. But that time I spend with my mom before she passed was worth it. Hopefully if I can get my life straighten back out I can go back in Aug.. I just don't know yet.. My husband is a truck driver so often it is just me and the kids all week.. Which is ok.. I am use to it.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading a good mystery book.. I love Lisa Gardner books.. But these days I can't seem to concentrate.
I have recently learned to crochet. So far I have made a potholder.
I like just about all movies. Romance, murder mystery and a good comedy.
I love to listen to alot of music. I love country and alternative rock. Huge fan of Christian rock. But I like alot of pop and oldies.. My favorite bands is Rascal Flatts and NickelBack. But I love some old school Counting Crows.. So I guess I like to dip into alot of everything..

    Hi Kym,

    I noticed a comment you made on Tigerlily82's page so I checked out your story on your spark page. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom this year. I lost my mom 6 years ago. So I can definitely understand what you are going through. I, too, went through a depression when my mom died. I still have my bad days from time to time, but I know my mom would want me to continue living. She was more of a second mom to my son. He took her death really hard as well. I knew I had to be strong for him. It was hard, but we are making it. You will have your good days and bad days. Try to remember all the happy times with your mom. It will really help. Also, it really helped me to talk about my mom, whether it was her illnesses or just happy memories.

    I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anyone to talk to from time to time, just spark mail me. Take care.

    I wanted to say hi and say congrats for making the lifestyle change. It is tough at first but you can do this. I started out at 327 pounds my heaviest. Right now I current weigh 221 pounds. I am here if you need to chat or have questions.
