Hi, My name is Kathie. I am 41 years old and basically have struggled with body image my entire life. Thought I was fat when I wasn''t and thought I wasn''t when I really was. I started with the weight gain process over 22 years ago with the pregnancy of my first child. Through out the years I have yo-yo''d on every diet known to man-kind. Now, over 22 years later, I finally have come to the realization that it''s not about dieting, it''s all about being healthy. I have lost approximately 26 pounds over the last 21 weeks and although I feel so much better, I know I am still not at my healthiest. UPDATE: Happy New Year 2010! and here I go again! I lost all that weight only to rebound back to the same size. You may ask why I let this happen? I honestly cant say but I know it has to do with something internally. It takes a lot of energy and time for me to stay on track. My married life revolves around food and not a whole lot of activity. I really started to lose the battle when I decided to go back to school. I certainly am a stress eater and I become anxious over every class. Well I am happy to say that I graduated in December with my BSN so its time to jump back on the band wagon to lose some of my baggage! (in more ways than one) UPDATE 6/9/11 I guess the most important thing is not how many times I fall off the wagon but how many times I pick myself up and get back on! Now at the age of almost 46, this weight is getting the better of my health. I hate the thought of being on blood pressure medication and the only way I hope to correct that is to take this weight back off. I did it once before, I can do it again. I just hope this will be the last time. I seem to do alot of repeating myself because as well as the weight back on, I am back in school for my masters. I think school is a common theme for me to gain weight. Could it me STRESS?! Eight 1/2 more classes and I am DONE for the rest of my life! UPDATE:1/1/2015 WHAT? Did I say I was done? Wrong. Years passed, little older (49) and a little wiser. Completed my MSN in 2013 and back in school for my Family Nurse Practitioner license. 50 is right around the corner so going to give this a try again!

My Goals:
I have goals short term and long. My short term goals are on a daily basis. Every night before I go to sleep, I plan what I am going to be successful at the next day. (eg. calories, fruit, veggies, activity, water)
My long term goals range from being able to run a complete 5k without walking to reaching my goal weight of 150#

My Program:
I started this final weight loss journey approximately 23 weeks ago. Notice I said "final". It has only taken me 41 years to figure it out that it has to be a lifestyle change. I have been counting calories, eating healthier foods, drinking lots of water and exercising. My first step to this success has been the changing within myself. You have to change the inside before it shows on the outside. Also, I have received much needed support from others like me at the Biggest Loser Club website. UPDATE: Starting all over from step one! I was successful the first time around for a little while. I can do it again! UPDATE: 6/9/11 Its time to really getserious as my blood pressure has started to rise above normal. No fooling around with this added weight I carry.
