Joined SP (12/20/15): Committed to getting fit and healthy again, it gets harder as I get older (mid 40's now). Imagining what is possible again, how I will feel, what I will do, who I will help or inspire, where I will go, and what clothes I will get myself back to wearing, (perhaps even a swimsuit in public). Goal: lose 30 to 40 lbs. I gained 25 lbs in 2015 from major stressors. Sadly, I lost 2 dear friends to cancer. They would want me to live a better, healthier, fun life. Between the ages of 20 and 40, I could lose weight by exercising 60 to 90 minutes 3 days a week or by simply watching my calories. I am embarking on doing both of these now and beating the bulge. I love all animals and am a Mommy to 2 soft, cuddly, and special needs rescue kitties (Update3/22/16: 1 kitty, RIP dear Midnight). Favorite hobby: World Travel. Favorite form of exercise: Zumba. I also love food and wine (live in NorCal) but am going to be mindful of what I consume. What do you enjoy doing for your health? (Update Nov 12 2016): have been blowing it! Gained about 7lbs which sounds low but it's a big step backwards. Must get back on-track. (Update August 30 '16) : Lost 19% of weight in a healthy way! 5lbs to 10lbs more to go! (Update July 1 2016)New Goal: Lose 9 to 12 lbs by September 30, 2016. 3 months! Update (6/12/26): plateaud and only lost 2 additional lbs. Total lost = 22lbs. Update (4/9/16): 20 total lbs & 3" on waist lost YTD! Update (3/20/2016): 17lbs lost total YTD! New goal: reach low 130's by mid-July. Update (3/1/2016): 20 to 27 lbs to go. Proud of my progress except plateaud in February. Must do better in March and future months. Update (1/31/2016): I lost 14lbs in my first 6 weeks sparking! You can do this, too!

    I've been too busy to put myself first, except when I'm exhausted. That's how I've been. Why can't I learn that stress and anxiety DO NOT ACTUALLY GET THE JOB DONE.
    So getting on the health path (again) is part and parcel with the mellowing out and treating myself well, breathing, and de-stressing path. How's about you?
