Introduction Text My name is Josie and I live in southeast MI. I'm an Aspie living with asthma, IBS, migraines, fibromyalgia, and a rare nerve/muscle disorder called fasciculation cramp syndrome. I love reading (especially urban fantasy and paranormal romance), history, science, anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, singing, dance (particularly bellydance and ballet), animals (especially cats), and anything involving the metaphysical or paranormal. I'm also a total geek and nerd. :)

I've been on and off SparkPeople since 2008. My full story is listed in my blogs, if you're interested. I'm currently 355 pounds. My highest and lowest adult weights have been 365 and 242. I never managed to crack below 240 despite trying numerous things, cycling calories, working out 6+ hours a week, etc, and that was the discouragement that spiraled out of control. That's when I stopped trying the first time. Then I tried Weight Watchers and followed their program and gained weight and was accused of lying. That's when I gave up the second time. Then my weight was relatively stable around 300 until I moved halfway across the country in 2014, and I bounced up and down, sometimes 10 pounds a month, through no effort of my own. Now? I'm here again and ready to do my best. I have multiple health issues that frustrate me, so even if the weight loss doesn't happen "as it should", I need to become healthier and do this for me.
