I hit a couple of big milestones this week...25 pounds gone since I joined SP in August; and 85 pounds gone since January. Since my last post here, I've run a couple of 5Ks and had finishing times around that 15 minutes a mile mark. That's slow by some standards, but definitely an improvement for me (and as far as I'm concerned, it's just me I'm racing against anyway!) Last weekend my husband and I ran a 10K route around our house...I have never run that far in one stretch ever. My thighs are finally speaking to me again after that. :)
My weight goal for the month was to try to be in Onederland by Thanksgiving, and then in December I will be working to have 100 pounds total gone for the year by January 1st. I am making progress toward these goals.

Fitness Minutes: 18,477

My Goals:
I've never been a runner. We are doing several 5K's this fall. My hope is to be able to finish the last 5K we do for the season in under 45 minutes.
Goals for next summer: Biking the north shore of Lake Superior with my kids; riding a zip line on the Gunflint Trail, and learning to kayak.

My Program:
I've been gluten free since January, counting calories, and doing DDP Yoga. In June I added in a Tough Mudder circuit training workout, resistance band workouts and some light jogging.
Now I'm cross training with biking and jogging; and doing DDP Yoga almost every day.

Personal Information:
Wildlife photography, gardening, and canning are some of my favorite things to do. I love growing/canning my own food so I can control the sodium and sugar we intake.

Other Information:
Favorite new quote from a t-shirt: I'm not sweating, my fat cells are crying.
