Ready to internalize this process so the changes I make to my lifestyle will become part of me. I know the drill - now it's time to make this real.

Fitness Minutes: 30

My Goals:
This has got to be my lifestyle, not just my plan. I've done it before, so now is the time to internalize it and make it absolutely inseparable from who I am. I want to be thinner and fitter so I can do the things that I want to do, and do them without fear.

My Program:
I've made a committment to eat healthy and exercise. That means having whole foods and reasonable portions MOST of the time, but finding ways to keep celebrations or life's transitions and stressing from derailing me. Getting exercise to be part of my routine is one of my goals. I'm journaling as needed to keep me on track, but not daily, since I want this to be a maintainable lifestyle, not a burden. I've eaten healthy and worked out before - done very well at all of this. Now I have to learn how to keep this going for the long haul.

Personal Information:
I'm married for 20 years, and my husband has 2 grown kids (hey- they're my kids too!). Since one of them has 2 daughters, I'm a Grandma, too! I'm originally from Long Island, NY, but haven't lived there since I went away to college. Currently live in Virginia piedmont area. I have a new job, with a very long commute. Makes fitting exercise in even more challenging - we'll see how well I find ways to handle this!

Other Information:
I've done serious reading in nutrition and food issues, so I like to help others with questions on this issues. I like walking outdoors, but also use the treadmill if the weather isn't nice, it's dark, etc. My profession is conference management, so when I'm working I travel a lot and have long hours at times.

I did just finish a book that I really enjoyed. I was actually sad when it was over. Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns.

Leonore, Thanks so much for the advice. I love your pitbull face! :) so cute.
If I eat 5 to 6 times a day how much would I eat? I started back on my lifestyle change last week. I have all the healthy foods down. My portions sizes aren't quite there yet.
congrats on your weight loss so far. :)
Look forward to doing more talking with you.
