This Rockin Red Fox is Looking forward to the Sparktastic Summer Slimdown Biggest Loser Challenge.

I Lost 3 lbs during the spring challenge and I'm hoping to continue losing throughout the break and on through the summer challenge. Will I? That seems to be the big question. I never seem to know how these challenges will go. Will I stay motivated? Will I stay resolute (my "word" for 2020)? Will I feel deflated 1/2 way through? That has happened before. If I have a loss can I hang on to it through the last couple weeks? I've completely blown a productive challenge in the last weeks. The challenge to me, as usual, is to be consistent.

My program includes at least some intentional exercise every day, drinking 8 glasses of water daily and staying within my SparkPeople calorie range. I also want to get back to walking, no more hobbling along, my goal by the time this challenge starts is to walk at least 1 mile daily and I want to keep it up throughout the challenge.

Still double-teaming against the pounds! Can't forget my wonderful 100 days of Weight Loss with Linda Spangle team. This book and the team have changed my life. Awesome lessons in this book!

I continue to live IN each day! It is way too easy for me to allow a day to slide by with little accomplished and without taking any time to savor life. Not doing that any more!

I've lost weight with TOPS, SparkPeople, my SparkFriends, the Foxes and now will continue to move forward I want to get back to goal weight. Right now I am 9 lbs above goal weight. I love the support that I get from all my Sparkfriends and teams, but I have to say that to have a 20+ member team that is consistently supportive of each member and have the participation, caring and sharing that we have on the Rockin Red Foxes is a rare and beautiful thing. I met my weight goal awhile ago, held tightly to it for about 8 months and then began gaining. I haven't been able to get back there. I will though. My goal weight of 145 is realistic and I need to remind myself of that.

Because of my Myasthenia Gravis the doctors say that exercise is my enemy right now. I have to very carefully plan never to exercise to the point of fatigue...difficult when I start the day fatigued and never feel strong. That will change though.

Basically I'm just not quitting! I'm still trying to live mindfully and to be as healthy as possible.

My Goals:
Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life. I want to be as healthy as I can be at age "almost seventy". I want to maintain my weight loss and even lose another 5 lbs.

My Program:
Eat Wisely! Live fully in each day! Show Love and Kindness! Trust! Pray!
Stay within my spark calorie range and drink 8 glasses of water daily.
Intentional exercise at least 10 minutes daily!

Personal Information:
I grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Ohio now. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force. I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!. I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.

Other Information:
My Mantra - Believe in Miracles. Forgive everyone. Life is not fair, but it is good. My Other Mantra: What doesn't kill you just doesn't kill you...the rest is up to you!

And we all should know this: "If every morning, You can find a reason to say, Yes, it's going to be a beautiful day. And every day, you find a reason to say, Yes, it is a beautiful day. And every night, you find a reason to say, Yes, it was a beautiful day. Then one day, You'll look back and easily say, was a beautiful life."~ ~ Doe Zantamata ~ ~

Thank you for dropping by my Spark Page. You are so thoughtful. I am sorry that you suffer from a chronic disease. I am glad that you feel as I do. Some people throw up their hands and give up when health is deteriorating. The best that we can do is keep living and keep "fighting."

    Have a wonderful Thursday!! emoticon

Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I love the idea of being able to garden on a scale large enough to be able to donate! Sadly my lil plot of earth sits on a shale bed and the soil is so acidic that ground planting..along with constant shale plates, makes a large garden less likely. I am doing some raised beds using old water tanks this year.An idea I got while browsing Garden ideas. We will see how that goes!
Better safe than sorry with this virus..I fear that reopening may be happening too rapidly, but then it is a choice. One can continue to stay home, stay safe with a wait and see attitude ..or dash out and see what happens.
