Introduction Text 2006--Welcome to my journey--a healthier me! Mid-life crisis hit and I decided I want to be healthy and happy as my body ages, so far it's working! I feel like a butterfly, emerging from her cocoon and discovering her wings..... Reality hit in Aug 07, and with the loss of my husband, I am having to learn all over what is important in life, who I am and how am I going to emerge from this crisis. Life goes on, our journey is what we make it, good or bad, it's up to me to determine. Sept 08--discovering that I am enough reason to take care of myself. I can do it for the kids and grandkids, but I need to do it for me! 2009--another life sized curveball! Peri-menopause has found me. Weight gain in the middle, mood swings, tiredness, defeat. It's a new world of overcoming to learn.

I dream of reaching and maintaining my goal weight for life, 145. I'd also like to firm up muscles and have a defined shape.

At least 30 mins of cardio exercise daily, 5-6 days a week. Strength training 3 days a week.

Live in Central TX, working toward retirement, trying to find my way back into a healthy body. 5 perfect grandkids!
