2020 - I've been married for 35 years to Dave. We have four kids - a son - 29, a daughter-in-law - 28, a son-in-law - 26 and a daughter - 23. We've lived in Iowa City since we were married and have our own business from home.

Timeline:
July 25, 2018:
Started taking iron supplements for anemia.

September 26, 2018:
Started taking Acidophilus for digestive issues.

June 29, 2019
Quit eating added sweeteners of any kind. No sugar, honey, agave, stevia, artificial sweeteners, etc.
I'm still eating fruit - frozen, canned, fresh, dried (no sugar etc. added).

September 20, 2019
Got serious with Intermittent Fasting

November 22, 2019
Bought an elliptical machine to add to my stationary bike in my home gym.

April 24, 2020
Started my custom "Bright Line Plan":
BREAKFAST = Decaf Coffee, Decaf Tea & Whole Cream
LUNCH (Noon), SUPPER (6:00) =
28g. Protein
8 oz. Veggies (Weigh Raw or Cooked)
4 oz. Starch (Weigh Cooked)
1 T. Fat
6 oz. Fruit / 4 oz. Banana (Weight Raw, Ready to Eat)
EVENING = Unlimited Veggies w/Spray Butter
NO ADDED SUGAR
NO FLOUR

    A while back you asked how the sugar thing was going and I failed to respond! Duh. I am techy-challenged! Anyway, I am still focused on not eating sugar and processed foods and I like the difference it makes with mood, headaches, heartburn, energy, arthritis aches, and weight and motivation.     I think another thing is it feels different in your mouth, less rich, it takes time to get used too.

    I am from the UK so no idea what brands are available there, but I have tried a lot of American coffee and its just so often over roasted too dark and bitter! I was honestly surprised, staying in this fabulous fancy business hotel and the coffee was terrible! I had so much cream lol... Not really a chore I guess but not really a good idea!

    You could try looking for things labeled European roast which we generally just have lighter roasts. Or your normal American brands but looking for the words lighter roast.

    There are several stages of roasting coffee beans to make the coffee and each stage tastes different. But most US seemed to be such dark roasts. It's good for delicious creamy coffee but it's just too harsh black I think personally.
