Thanks for stopping by my page but please don't leave without letting me know you were here, and what brought you to my page.

Wow I need to make a few changes here. I am now a 32(ekk) year old Christian woman who wants to be healthier, and thinner. I work part time at a hospital answering phones. I only work 16 hours a week so I can raise my kids.

I have a very supportive husband (Jake). We have been married for 7 years as of August 6th 2012. He is a Network Administrator is out of the Army Reserves. We met the day after he got home from a year deployment in Iraq. He doesn't ever complain about my weight but I'm sure he'd love it if I wasn't so shy about my body.

We currently have 2 daughter's and 1 son. It is very demanding to have a toddler and a preschooler and a 1st grader.

I would like to have more children but I suffered two miscarriages in 2008. After many tests the doctors decided I have a blood clotting disorder which can lead to clots, miscarriage, a loss in Folic Acid and possible heart problems. I will have to take 1mg of folic acid for the rest of my life and 4mgs while trying to conceive. Then while pregnant I will have to give myself an injection of a blood thinner daily. The Doctor also suggested I lose some weight as that can help with fertility problems. Which is what brought me to SP! Because of my issues and the risk to my health DH wanted to be done after 2 but gave me a 3rd and then said wewere done.
My 2nd and 3rd were born after I found out about my clotting disorders, I had to do injections the whole pregnancies and it was hard but very worth it.

Weight Goals
8-20-12 As i sit here thinking about my goals and what I want i realize it is exactly 4 years ago I had my 2nd M/C which is what brought me to SP to beging with. I was affraid it was because of my weight that I was having the m/c's. Now I have my 3 kids and my goal is to get healthy so I can be the best mom I can be for them. So my goal is to be 165lbs or about that as I know it's not really about the number on the scale as much as how you feel.

10/04/08~ lost 14.5 lbs. My original goal was 20 lbs. I am going to be working hard to make that by Nov 1st. Then my second goal will be another 10 lbs putting me at 173. I'd like to finish somewhere around 150-160. I don't want to obsess over my weight just be happier about it.

    Yes. That's a fun age and he is So funny. I can't wait to hear what he will say when he can talk more. Tonight we are trying the cry it out method. He doesn't sleep at night and ends up in my bed. Lol.

    Why Thank you! My family is my life. I have an amazing step son who lives with us. His name is Tyler and He's 9 years old - such a huge helper! Then I have Jordan. He's more and my husband's together. He's 16 months and such a turkey.... but the love of my life.

    That's pretty cool about getting the free weight bench. You can't beat that. Now you can start cross training, doing weights to supplement the running. My next program will be a step up from the one I am doing now. I'm doing Les Mills Combat, a beachbody program. It's 6 forms of martial arts, alot of cardio, high intensity interval training, alot of toning moves, and some weights. It's a good way to blow off the stress of my job by pretending I'm punching and kicking things! LOL The program I'm almost finished with has 5 workouts scheduled a week with 2 rest days, and it's called the Combat Warrior Program. The next one I'm doing is called the Supreme Warrior Program. That one will have 6 workouts a week and one rest day. Although I have some roadtrips coming up this summer and fall that might make it harder to do the 6 workouts a week, but I've got a plan if that happens to just get back on track when I get home and pick up where I left off. The trips are only for about 2-3 days though so I should be fine. I'm also going to iowa next month to take some master classes from this Christian Zumba dance team out of Texas.

    Hey Laura, Love your new profile pic. You have ALWAYS been a beautiful woman for as long as I have known you, but you have made such amazing progress in your weight loss journey! Keep up the great work, you're an inspiration! And I've pretty much given up ever beating you on fitbit esp now that you're a runner. Although I'm doing other things, I'm about 18 days away from completing a 60 day exercise program, then starting another one shortly after that.
