I joined in June of 2010 with the intention of losing weight (primarily) and getting healthier when I realized I had a significant birthday coming up and started to panic. However, I didn't panic enough, because I didn't really do anything weight-loss wise with the site until the end of August.

On August 28, 2010, I started the 20-Somethings with 100+ Pounds to Lose Biggest Loser Challenge. Thus, I consider August 28, 2010 my first day with Spark (even though SP won't let me change my start date). Since then, I have been making slow, but steady, progress toward my weight loss goal.

Fitness Minutes: 11,605

My Goals:
Be fit
Be healthy
Be happy

Be able to wear Victoria's Secret underwear

Be able to clothes-shop with my friends (not just purse- and shoe-shop)

Lose ~150 pounds one pound at a time.

My Program:
I have increased my water intake. I now average 12-16 glasses a day!

I have cut soda out completely (last regular soda drank on 1/5/2011).

I pre-plan all of my meals at least the day before so that I stay within my intake goals.

I exercise at least a few times a week, primarily in the evening.

Focus on small goals: 10 pounds at a time.

Personal Information:
I am from a small town in Northern Colorado, but I love it here. I am centrally located to most of Colorado's largest cities--Ft Collins is 25 minutes away and Denver is only 45 minutes away. I am single and I don't have any kids (but, I do have a cat, so that's like half a kid, right?) I love to read and listen to music. I watch far more TV than could possibly be good for me. I enjoy movies (though not scary) and love to shop (though due to budget constraints I don't get to enjoy that particular activity nearly as often as I would like). Pretty boring, but that's me.

    Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. It just wasn't the best week. I'm rather consumed right now trying to figure out how to deal with a hostile co-worker. I've decided that I need to bring the issue to the boss, but I'm terrified that it will just make things worse. I can't handle when people don't like me, its a huge self-esteem issue for me. I mean, I'm even taking a "mental health" day because I'm just not ready to face work yet this week.

    However, I really think this week's challenges are going to be exactly what I need to get back on track (literally). I've been meaning to get back to my strength training program anyways, and tracking my food always seems to help keep me focus.

    We are now onto day 2 of the biggest loser challenge, and I'm already starting to feel a bit defeated. I always feel that I should be shedding 15 pounds the first week. I loved looking at your tracker and see how much you've lost. It reminds me that I have to keep making the changes to see changes in my body. Keep it up! Thank you.

    How did your first day go? I hit 2 of my 3 targets, water and calories. I didn't get any exercise in. Have you had a chance to do your measurements or your fitness tests yet? I'm dreading mine. I don't think I've ever been on a treadmill.

    To answer your question, keep doing what you are doing to help me. I need a little note or reminder at least once a week to remind me that someone is watching out for me. Guilt is a pretty good motivator for me actually.
