My name is Jan and I am a 59 year old wife and mom. My girls are grown but still close... My husband is my best friend and we work and have fun together every day. I live in northern california. I love my my dogs and am very involved in the rescue community. I have basically been over weight since my early 20's with 5 or 10 pounds adding up each year until I didnt want to be fat anymore. I joined here in March of 2010. I lost 70 pounds, then gained some back but I never quit. My goal is to get back to that 70 pound loss and BEYOND! I have gathered so much support from everyone here and from my family, and it helps me every day. I didn't know how fun it could be to lose weight and live my life. My goal is to lose over 100 pounds and I know I can do it. Thank you for reading this and helping me on my way! I like to laugh and I like to have fun. Life is too short not to! I want to make the most of my life and losing weight will helped me do that. Update Dec.1, 2018. My habits have finally caught up with me. I never had bad numbers but I do now. High blood pressure, cholesterol and A1c Blood sugar. I’ve started medication but my goal is to get the weight off and get off these meds. I know I can and I’m ready!

    I had lost over 180lbs... I gained back over half while pregnant and dealing with quite severe post-natal depression. I have managed to claw my way back to being 100lbs down from my start weight.

    You are back and its ok to start over, it's hard because we feel we should know better, but its ok to ask for help, ok to try a different approach.
