They say "that today is the first day of your life".Well when I found SparkPeople web site that was the beging on my new life. I joined SparkPeople on January 9th 2006.
Over the years I have tried every diet there was out there. I've lost and then I've gained and then lost and gained again. You all know the story . You starve yourself all week and go out an have a "Big Mac" and gain it all back again.
Since I started SparkPeople I have made many new friends that encourage and support me wether I've lost or gained.
I've found that I love to track my calories and my excerises. I read all that I can on the boards and have learnt a lot from them. The community boards are full of friendly people much like myself with the same problems.
I just want to say that since i started at SparkPeople I've lost 119 pounds with the encouragement and support from all my new friends at SparkPeople. Spark People have showed me the right way to watch my food.Thank you all for given me the start of my new life.

My Goals:
Track my food and excerise

drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day

Be around to see my grandchildren get married and be go cycling with my sister this summer..

My Program:
I'm on 1200 calories a day ,Drink 8-10 glasses of water . Track my calories and excerise.I go to Curves 5 times a week and I walk as much as I can everyday.

Personal Information:
I'm from Laval ,Quebec,Canada. It's a little north of Montreal.

Other Information:
I'm 58years old and I have been married for 40 years,I have a son and a daughter.They both have 3 children.

I love to crochet knit and sew.

    The flowers and blossoms are filling the air with the smells of Spring. This is the time to start preparing for the Summer. Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of June. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.
