My name is Fredielyn and I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of two. I live just outside San Francisco, in Marin County. I love art and have a business of interior design. I redo rooms in homes using what my client already owns. I just re-design creating a fresher and updated look. I have been on SparkPeople since early February 2, 2015. As of August 2015 I have been weighing in at 119 lbs; I lost a total of 51 lbs. I have been on maintenance now for over 3 years.
My hope is to inspire sparkers to live life to the fullest! It isn't just about eating less and moving more. It is about living life on life's terms. It is about how you deal with emotions. It is what to do when a curve ball strikes and you are overwhelmed. Dealing with the truth without overeating is what makes losing weight successful. Best of luck everyone! ;o)

It horrifies me as well. Today I picked up two plastic bags, two newspapers, and something that looks like some kind of packing material. A couple weeks ago a complete McDonald's bag along with two wrappers that had separated from the bag. And there is always cigarette butts, pop cans and other miscellaneous drink containers. The summer celebration happens the first part of June and they have a parade. I've found baby diapers, candy wrappers, apple cores and a banana peel, along with all the stupid political flyers that are passed out during the parade. The city comes by two days later to pick all that up but why can't people just bring a bag with so they can take home their own garbage! I do believe your neighborhood does care so much more about the world around them!

I am surprised myself of how many people think the "wellness movement" is just about weight. I think they here the the word "wellness " & they somehow think it is all about the weight.

Our community for 2 months are in a program called "Kick the Sweets" Writing down how many teaspoons of sugar is in food, (not counting the sweetness in oranges or other fruits )it is the added sugars. Reading the labels . People including myself are surprised at what foods have added sugar in them. People are losing weight by stopping certain foods with the added sugar . I was shocked to see how much soda people drink in one day unreal !! In May the program will end & the numbers added up ,I hope people continue with this .
    Have a lovely day !! ( Judy )

Yes, my dear, they sell groceries, and if you don't have to go there stay away VERY FAR AWAY, but that is all we have.

Yes, my dear, very much in the fashion magazines, aren't they. Well, around here they are as common as beans in chili.
