Introduction Text Hello! I'm Mary. I am so glad to be here! I love this site. I have made so many friends. I am a Red Hatter who is learning to love life. And I would like to do it in a healthier way so that there is plenty of life left to live!

After quitting smoking and going through menopause, I gained about 45 lbs. My sugar tested high recently and I am now on Januvia to control it. I have made it my personal goal to get back into shape and a decent weight. I am going to do my best to control my blood sugar (or insulin intolerance) with diet and exercise. It can be done!

My goal is to have 1300 calories per day and to work out aerobically at least 3 times a week to start. I will also be taking walks with my dog in between times.

I live in Decatur, Alabama. It's a river town and I love it!!! I am now going through a divorce, but I will not be deterred from my goals or from seeking God in my life!

I am a heavy reader when I take the time to read. I love Dean Koontz, Stephen King, James Patterson, Janet Evanovitch, David Balducci. I play guitar and sing. I write songs. I love to craft. I especially love the little fur baby I have been blessed with!
