I LOVE TENNIS TOO!!! Thanks to my neighbor, I've discovered my inner athlete. In high school, I had a friend on the tennis team and she invited me to take lessons with her at a local tennis club. I took some lessons, which I enjoyed, but never played an actual game of tennis. After high school, I'd find someone to hit with in college every now and then, but again no real tennis. Then fast forward to the summer of 2008...my neighbor, who's husband is an excellent (4-4.5) tennis player, asks if I want to join her in registering for a tennis class through our local parks & recs dept. We do and the rest is history. I'm hooked! I LOVE chasing those little yellow balls! When the summer lessons ended, I braved the tennis club. I declared myself an Advanced Beginner and found a class. From there I was recruited to play in a womens' doubles summer tennis league where I was dubbed Captain for my e-mail skills. ;o) We ended the summer Runners-Up. The next summer we were the Champions! Last fall, I played in an indoor league and our team were the 1st half champs. Unbelievable. It's been SO FUN! I can't afford to play as much as I'd like and am currently benched due to a torn calf muscle (4-6 wks of physical therapy), but I'll be back on the court as soon as I get the green light from my doctor. I hope to improve my game and play 3.0 next summer. How long have you been playing tennis?

I found you! Hope you can find me! I will let your commitment inspire me! No matter how inconsistent you think you are, you are always more consistent than someone else....and I, at least, will be impressed with even your smallest effort.'

    XOXO
