Thanks for the comment on my blog. I noticed you are the same age as me and I also have type II Diabetes. As someone else mentioned the big key is exercise! And the exercise doesn't have to be huge--just getting a daily walk in--even if it is slow, will make a huge difference. When I added walking into my routine, it did such an amazing job of bringing my numbers down and I was able to have 2 of the 3 meds I was on for diabetes. Unfortunately, when I started traveling with my hbby (for his job), my eating habits got more liberal and my exercise dropped out of my priorities. I'm now trying to get back into control, because I have to see my doc again when I return from Portugal and I don't want to have to add those meds back! I have been walking EVERY day again, and it is making a difference already--just hope that my doc will see that even though my A1C is going to be higher, that I'm working hard to bring it back into control... Thanks for stopping by my Blog, Yvonne. Actually, it's the consultant that's 21, my boss is in his 50's, but he's still only been my boss for about 3 years.
I'm 61 and was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes more than 20 years ago. Let me know if I can offer advice or encouragement. To keep sugars low, exercise is key!! I've added you as a Spark friend and hope you'll add me.

Hi, Yvonne! Thanx for reading my blog. I haven't yet tracked down a copy of the tape / DVD for Holly Kouvo. It could be either a relatively small distribution or just not recorded into a format that will play here. Amazon is usually among the first to offer 'Region 2' or whatever we are for DVDs and such, so I'm keeping an eye out. How's everything going so far? Are you finding your way around the website? :-) 3938 days ago
