looking back when I was in my 30's I can rememeber being at a whopping 225 pounds. It was horrible I couldn't do any kind of physical activity for more than 10 minutes without running out of breath and feeling exhausted so I went on a diet. It took me 2 years to lose 110 pounds and I did that by watching everything I ate. I don't remember ever going over 1000 calories a day. I rode my bike 3 times a week for 7-15 miles. My meals consisted of yoguart, rice cakes, salads, veggies and only during the holiday's did I ever induldge in turkey, hamburgar, hams or any other kind of meats. Needless to say after doing this for 2 years and deciding it was time for me to start some kind of exercise program and join a gym did I begin to really feel the horrible effects of my diet. I had starved myself for 2 years in order to loose weight and the minute I needed and added food in order to fuel my body for a stronger and healthier body to sustain my activity level I began to gain weight again. Now at 180 pounds I have found myself wishing to be skinny again, but realize I must accomplish this with a smart and healthy lifestyle. One that will balance fuel for the body as well as exercise for strength and endurance. I struggle daily with this quest for balance and I know in the end regardless of my weight, be it 180 or 115 I will have success.

My Goals:
To find that place where what I want and what I do become one in bringing me to a healtier, fuller and longer life

My Program:
Since I have always been good at tracking what I eat It is time for me to focus on actually eating. To find a balance of good healthy foods and EAT so I can burn calories rather than muscle. To bridge the gap between "oh I have to" to "oh I want to" be more active and enjoy exercising. I am changing the diet to include less red meat and more fruits and veggies and testing the zing and zang of spices. I will add more water and continue on my journey to becoming a non smoker even if it means my weight will go up for a short time

Personal Information:
I am a mother of 2 adult children. I am their motivation as they don't want to look like mom! I live in Nevada and love it here. I lost 110 pounds at weight watchers about 5 years ago. Took me nearly 2 years and have gained back 50 since I quit attending weekly meetings. To go back or not is the question. Do I have what it takes to loose again. I am in Northern Nevada where there are great opportunites for outdoor activities. I just really needto get the husband on board.
