Hey everyone! My name is Melissa. I'm a sophomore at UWG. I used to be very dedicated to working out, but studying/traveling/and hanging out with my friends have gotten in the way. I am trying to balance all of those things right now. Being healthy and loosing weight is something that is always on my mind. Every day I'm trying to take small steps in the right direction.

And I want to STOP doing this to myself.
1) I tend to start off the day right, but towards the end of the day I slip up on food.
2)I don't track my food as religiously as I used to.
3) Going out to Moe's and other places to hang out with my friends is hurting my wallet and my waist.
4) I am not as consistent with my workout schedule as I used to.

1) I will plan out my food the night before ( and enter it in my food log)
2) I will eat before going out with friends, and try to schedule less food oriented activities.
3) I will go to the gym in between my classes, and wake up early on my off days.
4) I WILL log onto sparkpeople EVERY DAY to keep myself in line.
5) I am going to stop letting my weight control me!

Things I have learned about myself
-Carbs dont get alone with my tummy or thighs
-I eat out of boredome
-I forget what would make me happiest ( being healthy and slim!)
-I put myself down ALL THE TIME!!!
-I am stressed out beyond belief
-I feel like everyone hates my body just as much as I do.

I really am going to be more positive like I used to be

I have relapsed and am sitting at 152 (yikes!)
I want to be around 135 come February ( I can do it!)

I would appreciate any support for you sparkpeople.
We are in this together, and I mean it when I say I WILL MEET MY GOALS THIS TIME!!

[I am checking my pride at the door]
[Yes there is a little extra pudge on my tummy, but all the more to lose! More difference to see]

I know what you mean... it's hard when people are like oh you look fine, you don't need to lose weight, blah - but it's about you and how you feel like you said. I always tell people i'm not comparing myself to anyone - just ME - and i'm not comfortable being this big for ME. It's like it's all about me okay?! Deal with it! :) j/k

Congrats on your weight loss - you're doing great!

Sounds like you have a very healthy attitude towards the whole "weight loss" scenario. Not many people can say they don't care about the numbers on the scale! But I definitely know what you mean. Good luck with your goals! I'm sure you'll do great!
