Hi! My name is Kate, and I'm a 38yr old mom of 3. I have been overweight for years, and have occasionally been at a "healthy" weight by becoming bulemic and over exercising, or by doing the right things in a healthy way, but it's a short lived success. I want to finally get to that goal wt in a healthy manner, and have it stick this time. I am a free spirited, fun loving girl that wants to finally break free of all this excess weight. I'm having a hard time trying to find the "right balance" of things that work for me, but I'm still pushing along. I've been having a lot of struggles over the past 4 yrs since I was last on this site, and am officially at the highest weight of my life. Time to buckle down again, and kick it into gear!

My Goals:
My goals are simple: learn how to live a healthier lifestyle and how to fit in my exercise so I can (and want to) consistently keep up with it.


My Program:
Counting calories rather than having a "diet" or "eating" plan. Once I have a food that's a NO-NO, that's all I can think about. I have found that by having nothing offlimits it's actually helping me stay on track better. I am using a treadmill, Turbo Jam, and walking outside as my exercise.

Other Information:
I'm a total crime junkie! I LOVE Criminal Minds and other shows like it.

I would love to travel, but never seem to have the time and money at the same time in order to do so.

    Well....I feel like I am repeating myself but I am back yet again after an even longer absence. Life went crazy and I didn't cope very well but now I realize I need to actually stay on here in order to stay on track. I can't do it alone. Now I have baby weight to lose plus the extra 20 or so I have packed on since then. Geez! Hope you're still here plugging along!

    Hi Kate: I just came back online after a four month absence and was sooo happy to see your little note!! Congrats girl for getting back to it! You are worth it and can sooo do it! I need a good butt kicking as I have managed to gain weight AFTER giving birth almost five months ago! It's creeping up to a point I don't want to get back to!!! Thanks for the congrats! Max is doing great! Will catch up!

    my name is christine i am very over weight,and i would love to lose about 90 pounds for now,it does really matter how much as long as i could lose little by little and it would add up,i have thought about diet pills,but i am on so many medications for anxiety and depression,and for my degenerated disc disease taht i am afraid to take any,i just have such low self esteem that i don't know if i have enough strength and will power to lose the weight,i just know i need to for my health but it's still hard for me,without people rooting me,cause i hear nothing but negativity 24/7......could you give me some pointers...............thanks christine
