It is a New Year and time for new things.

I lost a little over 50 pounds in 2010. I was able to make a change. I am quite happy with my progress but I still have a long way to go. I still have about 70 pounds to lose and this year I will make it happen.

What truly helped me is not trying to rush the process and having a fitness partner. My lovely sister was and still is my fitness partner. She reached her goal and is currently maintaining her weight. Congrats sister! Please remember this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You deserve to take care of you self.

I fell off my program a bit during my vacation in August and a super busy work schedule/holidays during the Fall. A new year gives me the kickstart I need to get back on my program and lose the rest of weight. This is my year and this is your year too!!

Its Time to Make a Change! January 2010

I have been trying to lose weight for several years now. Instead of losing weight, I continue to gain. I need to find a program with support, motivation and one that is easy to follow. I am so tired of making excuses. I lost 20 pounds last year and I gained it back with a few extra pounds. I cannot believe I let my weight balloon to this size. 2010 is the year of change; I can no longer go on living such an unhealthy lifestyle. I hope I can find the support I need on Spark People to lose the weight and keep it off permanently. I would appreciate any suggestions, feedback, buddy systems, words of encouragement, etc., to get me started and to help in my permanent weight loss journey!

My Goals:
Goals of the week: 1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. 2. Follow my meal plan. 3. Workout at least 5 times this week.

Goals for the month: I would like to lose 10 pounds this month.


My Program:
I am trying to not exceed 1000 calories a day. I will follow my meal plan and eat at least 3 servings of fruit and veggies a day.
