Howdy there!
My name is Natalie and I'm so grateful to be motivated by this awesome life-bettering tool. I am trying to bring more balance into my life and be more holistic about healthy living instead of having an all-at once or nothing approach.
I think it is so wonderful that we are all individuals, but united in our positivity and helping each other succeed. Sparkpeople has given me such encouragement on tough days. Thanks for joining me in this amazing quest! I welcome new friends with open arms.

Fitness Minutes: 1,528

My Goals:
Someday I would love to teach yoga classes for recreation. My general weight loss goal is to lose 36 pounds by September 2011.

-Enter in my foods eaten daily
-Exercise 30 minutes 3x a week (at least)
-Eat 1450-1600 cals daily
-Consume more water
-Keep a positive attitude about my body
-Become more accepting of myself and less critical of so-called imperfections
-To be a good support system for my Sparkfriends

My Program:
I am measuring my food whenever possible and entering what I eat in the MyNutrition app. I am trying to drink less energy drinks (I'm a student, it's hard!)and consume less high calorie beverages. My goal is 20 minutes of exercise every day, carrying snacks with me when I go places.

Personal Information:
Originally I'm from Washington state. I watch a lot of movies in my free time and love to read a good book when I can gather enough patience to sit still.

My favorite books that I've recently read are: "America the Beautiful" by Moon Unit Zappa, and "The Pleasure of my Company" by Steve Martin.

Fave movies watched within the last month: "Fire" by Deepa Mehta and "Harry Brown" starring Michael Caine.

Fave exercise DVD's: Yoga Zone series, Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and Yoga Meltdown

A side note:Resisting the temptation of Indian food requires much willpower.

    Thanks for dropping by and checking up on me. Welcome home!!! I'm doing okay. Just trying to figure out how to work everything I need to in with dealing with some unexpected time constraints. It will all work out. it will just take some time.

    Hi Nat, thanks for the comment on my blog! Yes, food is a minefield when it comes to family and friends isnt it? I admit to being a "feeder" too when company's just the very essence of nuturing and showing you care when it can really be the opposite!
