So Spark People, I've been apart of the Spark family for 9 months, I'm 81 lbs lighter and couldn't be happier with the progress I'm making. I have more energy, working out is a daily NEED, and I'm eating healthier( thanks Spark recipes for the ideas ;-) ). One of my best friends joined Sparkpeople and is doing great and I'm so happy for her! My son is eating healthy, now my husband has jumped on board and that's awesome! I'm so proud of him! Now I feel like I have to step it up bc we all know men lose weight faster than men. My goal for the summer is to be able to RUN a 5k. I know I can do it with my Spark community and supportive fam and friends. I am so thankful that God has helped me come so far on my journey to become healthy. And I know this year He will continue to be my strength and my guide. Ready to be the woman He designed me to be :-)

Training's going OK. I am not filling my full potential... there's some kind of fear holding me back, but I'm not quite sure what I'm afraid of. But I've gotten some amazing advise from a certified training, I have incredible support from my husband, and I'm still training so it will get better. I'm still VERY MUCH EXCITED about it!!!!!!! =D

It's a local 5K for a Sudden Infant Death Syndrome foundation (SIDS).

I used to think the same like "People dont need to see this blob of messed up fat wobbling down a track" but since finally deciding that I needed to get out and walk just about anywhere I have received a few compliments from people. One lady actually stopped me once and said I was motivating. Me. Motivating. That was huge. I was walking around a convention center while waiting for my husband and his brother to get out of a WWE taping. It was supposed to be over by 10pm, but it didnt end till almost 11:30 and so I walked walked walked. People we looking at me like I was crazy, but that lady's compliment just completely changed, not just my day, my LIFE. I wish I could go back and find her and thank her for changing my perspective just with her comment. She said she wished she had worn more sensible shoes, she would walk with me. Another time I was attempting to job with my hubby and we passed a congregation getting out of Wednesday service somewhere and I was so tired and I didnt wanna pass by because I felt I couldnt push myself anymore and my husband made me go through because he wasnt gonna cross the street just to avoid them and I heard a man tell another "but at least she's out there trying, we dont even do that" mann, that felt good to hear (overhear) as well.
