"Only One Pound" is a cute little story I obtained from GETDONE's profile. It was just, too FITTING and I had to re-post it!!

**Only One Pound**

Hello, do you know me? If you don't you should. I'm a pound of fat, and I'm the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet. Want to know why? It's because no one ever wants to lose me; I'm Only One Pound, just a pound. Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds or fifteen pounds, but never only one, so I just stick around and happily keep you fat. Then I add to myself ever so slyly so that you never seem to notice it, that is until I've grown to ten, twenty or even more pounds in weight. Yes, it's fun being Only One Pound of fat, left to do as I please. So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying "Oh, I only lost one pound." ( as if that were such a terrible thing!) For you see, if you do this you'll encourage others to keep me around because they will think I'm not worth losing. And I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you. Happy Days!! After all, I'm Only One Pound of fat!!!

25 July, 08 - 260lb.
RESET - 30lb SHED so far!

1 May 09 - 230lb still.

8 May 09 - 230lb STILL. Ok, enough of this holding pattern! I am ready for the scale to MOVE down.

18 May 09 - 228lb - WOOHOO! Down 2 nasty little pounds and I ate wedding cake! Life is good!

23 May 09 - 227lb - Down another NASTY little pound! =}

12 June 09 - 226lb - Steady, Steady, Steady. One nasty little pound at a time. =}

My Goals:
I would like to get back to 180 or 160lbs. My starting weight is 260 lb in July, 08 . I have never done well with diets, eating less, or exercising. I have always been real active until my body decided that it didn't want to participate anymore. I just take it one day at a time. =)

My Program:
Counting calories. I take one day off per week. Try to get some exercise, do stretching and attempting portion control.
That is my BIGGEST challenge... portion control. Any help, guidance, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Personal Information:
I live in Sedro-Woolley, WA. It is about 65 miles North of Seattle, on Hwy 20.
