_id=5457272 MY JOURNEY BACK TO SPARK IN 2013 (March 2013): A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Orlando for a theme park vacation. I didn't fit in the "normal" seat of one of the roller coasters and had to ride it in the "modified" seat. While at the time I wasn't as upset as I would expect from myself, since being back it has really bothered me. I'm tired of being unhealthy, fat, and out of shape. I hope that this was, to quote my favorite Disney ride (Figment), the "one little Spark of inspiration" I need to stick with it this time. SPARK SUMMARY 2013-2014 (January 5, 2015): March - December of 2013: I lost about 30 lbs using SparkPeople. 2014 - September 2015 : I gained back the 30 lbs I lost. Floated in and out of restarting SparkPeople. Tried to consistently go to Zumba even without tracking calories. Partly due to injuries early in the year and working crazy hours later in the year. (including 7 weeks without a day off work) I got out of the habit of exercise also. MISCARRIAGES (June 2015-October 2016) I also had a miscarriage in June 2015 which contributes to weight gain. Followed by 2 more. One December 2015. One in October 2016. THYROID CANCER (October 2016-April 2019) In October 2016 I noticed my throat was swollen. Which led to a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Long story short that led to fatigue and weight gain. My weight got up to 228. Feeling more normal I went back to Zumba in July 2018. To try to get my strength up. AUGUST 2020 I had a miscarriage in October 2019. Got Covid in March 2020. Had another miscarriage in June. Its now August. Weight is 225 lbs. I'm tired of being sad and here to see if I can get weight back down a bit and feel better again. Take baby steps towards better health.
