You can do this!!! We could never appreciate the good times if it wasn't balanced by a little bad. You are building character right now, that's all. You might feel like a charity case, and maybe you are a little, but if the tables were turned and someone you loved needed help and you could help, would you??? I bet you would. You are giving someone else a chance to do good and to help. Make sure you appreciate it and find some way of not only repaying them, but make sure you pay it forward as well.
God occasionally allows us to have down times. This is when you find out who really loves and cares about you. All of this is a blessing though it may feel far from it. Once you are up on your feet again you will be able to empathize with others who are now in your position. You couldn't do that before.
It is hard. Take your lumps. Do the best that you can. Know that you will not only survive but thrive and be so much stronger and better for your hard times.
If it is possible to get hold of a jump rope get one and try to jump a little bit each day. It will stimulate your lymphatic system, help brighten your mood and help toss off a little weight.

I would plan ahead. I went to the Disney World webpage and found a list of restaurants. They didn't have menus, but they did have a brief description of the types of food they have and where it's located. You can make some decisions before you go, like I'll order a chicken wrap, or a salad, at the place where the kids can order burgers or whatever. I don't know where you're staying, but at lots of resort complexes they will have little stores that sell cups of fruit, etc.
You'll also be doing lots and lots of walking, so you can have a few more calories than normal without completely ruining your goals.
I just had a brainstorm and googled "how to lose weight at disney world" and came up with websites with very specific info! (Gosh, if I'm so smart, how come I need to lose 50 pounds!)
Also remember the battle cry of fat people at a buffet, "Look Prime Rib!" and the battle cry of the skinny at a buffet, "Look Fresh Fruit!".

You are good enough and 28 is not too old! My 26 year old just moved out after a bad bout of depression (about 6 years!). And even though she isn't supporting herself financially, she is going back to college and loves having her own place. Now to you, whenever you feel weak, come to Spark. It's here 24/7. I've never logged on and been bored, or uninspired. It's also a great place to go on about your struggles. We never get cranky or have that "look" on our faces, like my husband does! Hang in there, we're all in the same boat. 4045 days ago
