Introduction Text Thanks, Mary Engelbreit, for my mantra. I am a 40something wife and mother with a daughter and son in college, a cat named Bobby, and a dog named Molly. I have a passion for photography, beading and our local community theater.

My main goal is to get back to a weight where my body can handle the food I eat. When I'm overweight, I struggle with irritable bowel syndrome. When I'm thin, I don't. I'm just tired of that struggle.

I'm eating less and exercising more. Duh. My first food step is to stop nibbling at little candy bars all afternoon because I skipped lunch. My first exercise step is to walk Molly nearly every day. We both need the exercise.

I'm Barb from rural Missouri, but I'm a city girl at heart.

I have recently discovered a passion for photography.
