"One day at a time" I have to remember to take this journey one day at a time in order to stay encouraged and to remain motivated. For me it's all about precision, executing my tasks to the maximum of my ability. I can do this if I am consistent, because I believe that consistency is the key.

I wrote a blog about consistency that I thought was worth sharing on the front of my page:

I guess I knew it all along that consistency works, but my mind had to tell my body that whether it feels like it or not it has to workout, it has to get the proper nutrition, calories, sleep and most of all it has to be consistent. My mind and my body finally agrees, well I hope this is the case, (it is still very early yet). I know now that "The law of consistency leads you to breakthrough, while the law of laziness leads you to nothing."

I try to keep this scripture in mind when it comes to staying consistent:

Galatians 6:9 (King James Version)
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

There is a principle that states, " I would rather be seen being consistently consistent than seen consistently inconsistent." This principle reminds me of my humanity and the propensity to fail and miss the mark of God; and it also reminds me that I am not God and, therefore I cannot and will not be perfect. If I know that I cannot be perfect in God, then the least I can do is be intentional about being consistent in God and seeking to know and do His will for my life. The same principle applies to my new healthy lifestyle journey, I must constantly remind myself that I am not going to do everything perfect, everyday will not be a perfect eating , exercising day, and every week will not be a perfect weight-loss week, but if I am intentional about being consistent in my plan I will see results.

I know now that consistency and commitment are key ingredients to achieving my goals. I know that I must be committed to being consistent first in my faith and remain true to the seeds planted in me from the Word of God and then also in my healthy lifestyle plan when it comes to exercising and eating right. I know that if I am inconsistent it can easily build walls up around me that prevent me from receiving prosperity and achieving my goals. I have to remember if I build a wall it's not the wall's fault - because I am responsible for the wall being there in the first place due to inconsistent behavior.

If my desire is to experience the law of breakthrough, then I know that breakthrough calls for me to be consistent and committed. I realize if I am not willing to make a commitment, then I cannot achieve the goal that I am attempting. I know that I will only be as successful to the extent that I am willing to commit.

So ask yourself how committed are you in this journey, to the goals that you want to accomplish, to your aspirations, and how you want feel and to see yourself in the near future? Are you committed to making healthier choices and eating better? Are you committed to putting in the time to do the work for a better working body and stronger healthier you?

Perhaps, you are still in the state of mind that I was in for several years and that is thinking that there is a quick fix out there somewhere (and there isn't or at least I have not found it and not looking to find it anymore), or maybe you want results overnight like I did and to be honest I wish that there was such a thing but sadly to say there are no quick overnight pills, or magic fixes, or maybe you just want to see results without the work like I did. But, I realize now that I can't just pull a lever and say, "healthy body come to me now." Fortunately for you and me, a healthy body doesn't work like that, believe me we are fortunate that we don't have that magic lever, because we would be worst than we are now, trying to be someone else, when we should love ourselves and work on the body that was assigned to us. Just know that it takes consistency and commitment to succeed.

When you stand on the Word, you stand on what God has said stay committed, commit yourself to it and watch as God brings it to pass. Stay committed to your plan I know that I am going to finally try my best to stay committed and consistent to my plan . We can do this if we stay consistent and focused, we must all encourage each other and have support for one another in this journey.

How committed and consistent are you going to be?
