Hello, Myranda here.
I'm 40 yrs old and have been through a lot the past year. To start things off in Jan 2014- the beginning of this change; A breakup. We know how those things go there was lots of crying and no eating. I was at 188 lbs and hurting. Then I decided to get focused. Started watching my portions, going to the gym and running with my friends. BAM! by May I was down to 150 lbs. I felt good which in turn of course makes you want to continue on so I did and by Aug I was at 142. Once again change occured- new position at work. An 8hr a day desk job where every month someone seems to be throwing pot lucks and birthdays. I began to lose control and started eating and not wanting to work out. I then had another change in my life- MY LOVE. He is the greatest. Currently we are not in the same state which is hard. SO now at 155 lbs and beginning to hurt again I need to find focus and motivation. My goal is to lose that last 30 lbs by my Bday on Sept 7th and start maintaining the healthy and active lifestyle that I want.
So here I go! Any an all motivation and support is appreciated.

    sometimes when we are stressed and something bad happens in our life we lose lots of weight. like this time my ex left me for his best friend girlfriend, lol. i of course knew the girl well, so it was as bad as it gets. and then I had to see them together, and she studied the same thing as I did, but we never had the same schedule (no classes together) and the next semester she manage to be my classmate in many subjects.... well that time i lost like 20 pounds in a week. and i wasn´t that fat, I mean, how can that be possible? i stopped eating, but still, it was because of the sadness and stress that the weight disappeared.

    i just realised getting sick doesn´t help to lose weight, lol. I am sick for a week now, yesterday and the day before I could hardly eat, I´ve been to the hospital three times, and I haven´t lost a gram, of course I can´t exercise, so that sucks :(

    I am happy you are joining the challenge. I am curious to see your pics!!
