I first began this weight loss journey in 2004; I was within 10 lbs of reaching my goal when I was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. Since then through God's grace, I am free of cancer and I have regained all of my weight plus some extra. I began to get serious again about my weight at the end of April 2010 and have lost 16 lbs and over 10 inches. ONE YEAR UPDATE (4-23-2011): There are 42 lbs, 8.7% fat, and 23 1/4 inches less of me!!! TWO YEAR UPDATE (4/24/2012) There are 68 lbs and 42.5 inches less of me!!! JANUARY 1, 2017, my dad was diagnosed with severe dementia in April 2015. By that September, which is my birthday month as well he didn't have a clue who I was. In 4 short months, I had lost my dad in a way. The last two years have been similar to watching a speeding car or train crash it doesn't end. I regained over 40 lbs with the stress and anxiety of being a caregiver. As well as the hiking and races that I loved so much had to be put on the back burner or so I thought. I had a long talk with our social worker at the first of the year and she said, "you have to save yourself first". I've walked/ran/elliptical 50M since the first of Jan, started strength training on the tenth, and dropped 10.8 lbs diligently tracking.

My Goals:
To be in shape to climb those mountains, walk those trails, and win those races!!


My Program:
My main focus is to just keep moving!!
I am running 5 days a week. Upper Body Strength Training with dumbells 3 days a week. Elliptical HIIT for cardio when I'm not running 2-3 times a week. Hiking at least once a week 10 plus miles. Core work 6 days a week. Zigzagging Diet to encourage wt. loss. Diligent about tracking.
