It has been ages since I have done my introduction and updated my SparkPage - September 2009 to be exact... so let's start over since I'm back.

I've been gone for about a year it appears... My how time flies. That doesn't mean I haven't checked in here and there... just not as commited as I was at one time. Life got in the way and I let it. Along with that, it seems that a few (about 15) pounds have fuond their way home... UGH... I thought I had evicted them for good... Just goes to show you that dilligence is important even after a goal is reached.

You see - I was there... I was Done. But somehow that changed.. Lazy? Slack? Over confident? A little of all three. So here's my plan:

Track, track track... Track Food, Track Water and Track Activity (exercise is such a dirty word). That has worked in the past and will work again.

My two special people on this page are my sweet niece (Lil' Princess) and my Darling Husband. They are my life. I want LP to realize that she doesn't have to be fat 'because it is in our genes'. There are choices and I want to teach her that the healthy ones are better. DH is on this journey with me. He had also taken a pitstop for a little while - but he'll find the wagon that he fell off of. He knows how much better he feels when he is at his goal weight. He just needs to remember that skinny feels better than chocolate tastes (ok - it is is tie).

I have found MOTIVATION. I borrowed this from someone (sometimes we need to borrow others beliefs until we can get ours back on track) and added my own information after the colon to make it personally mine. So, feel free to use it yourself - Making it your Motivation.

M - Make short term goals: Track all food, water and activity
O - Out with negative thoughts: "Yes I CAN!"
T - Think of why you want it: To be healthy (and so my clothes fit better)
I - Imagine how you will feel: "Woo Hoo"
V - Visualize the future you want: A toned body
A - Acknowledge your successes: I had lost 25% of my body weight and ONLY gained back a 7-1/2% (which didn't happen overnight).
T - Treat yourself with respect: "I deserve the time to workout and get healthy."
I - Investigate new ideas and foods: 2 words: Tofu Alfredo. It is from SparkRecipes. It was very good!
O - Observe your healthy lifestyle: Cut out extra Coffee - drink water instead.
N - NEVER give up or give in: This is MY life and I'm in control.

My beautiful 5 year old niece lives with us right now. I refer to her as LP since she is our Lil' Princess.

Currently we have 3 furbabies: 2 cats and a guinia pig.
