"would you recommend one of those scales? I'd been wanting to check my bodyfat as well."
Hey Jason! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have an Omron scale that has the handles that you pull out and hold in your hand so that it does a full body bio-impedance (more accurate than the ones that just have sensors under your feet). The scale is very accurate and stable on body weight, but I don't think the body fat measurements are particularly that accurate.... also, I read online recently that they can be off by 18%, which I think is a lot.
I've been a little disappointed with it, but it does show trends OK, and the visceral fat seems to be very stable as I mentioned in the blog. I think probably good ol' skin calipers are probably just as accurate (if you know how to use them) and a lot less expensive.... 3093 days ago
