1/1/21 - Back to try it again. Starting at my heaviest weight yet. Wish me luck!

1/4/16 - Gained it all back. What a dumbass. Trying again.

9/1/14 - I had a brief resurgence of dedication at the beginning of the year then my dog died and I got depressed and didn't care what I was doing to myself. Time has passed and I am ready to start over, again. And again. And again. One of these times it's gonna have to "take". :)

2/4/14 - After recommitting in January. I am now happy to say that I feel that weight loss mojo again. I have been tracking all my food and started exercising again. Hopefully my next update will be in this same positive vein.

1/12/14 - Sad to say I have gained even more weight back. I just got in a mode of not caring. I lost my mojo. I'm going to commit to logging my food again and once that's back starting up the exercise again. I have got to stop this before I slide all the back to my original weight.

5/21/12 - Update: I totally slacked since December'11. I have gained 20 lbs back and am over 200 again. Grrr! I need to put a stop to it now before it gets completely out of control. I started exercising again and am going to recommit to portion control and eating healthy.

11/12/11 - Update: I have lost 75 lbs and have decided to reset my weight ticker to a starting weight of 200 lbs so that I can keep focused on my end goal without my past success making me a bit lazy about moving forward.

7/18/11 - Started last year on 7/12/10. Between July and December I managed to lose about 50 lbs. During the holidays I lost the drive to lose but managed to maintain my weigh-loss for the most part only gaining about 7 lbs back. July 2011 rolled around and I started to get the itch to lose weight again. So I rebooted my program and am again super motivated to lose the next 50 lbs. Wish me luck!

Original Introduction
7/12/10 I am 44 with twin boys, who are now 6 years old. I want to be able to go on the rides with them at Disneyland and not worry about if I am going to fit or not. I want to take them to the water park and not just sit there watching! I want to get off the floor without having to hold on to the furniture! :) It is time to eat the way I know I should and get off the couch and get moving!

I am tracking what I eat in the Nutrition Tracker.

I am cutting way back on butter, breads, sugar, diet drinks, etc. Trying to stick with water, coffee & tea. I am eating lots of fresh veggies and fruits, raw nuts, and lean proteins.

I am walking every day.

    Thank you for posting, asking questions, and sharing about yourself. I am starting on SP about a week or so behind you, have about the same amount of weight to loose, and twin 4-year-olds. Besides those commonalities, what you wrote about wanting to go on the rides at Disney or at the water park really touched me. I feel the same way and have wondered the same things.
    I plan to loose one pound per week for the next 115 weeks. I am setting that goal and that time frame to allow myself to fully incorporate new habits and to learn to live without bad habits (eg: snacking in front of the TV). I am excited for you and for me and I'm eager to cheer on our successes.
