Got lost along the way and really have blown it! Have gotten a KICK START and back at it determined as ever to drop 30 pounds total.
I have been at it for three weeks and feel great
AND have lost 6 pounds. I choose my food wisely. Stop and think about what I will put into my mouth. It works. AND I feel more energized from eating better foods. Someone said that before and I doubted. It is true.
Still sticking with it!

OK NOW I am quitting the smoking thing! Been smoke free for 7 days! This is all a challenge. Loose weight, quit smoking. Double whamy! I am confident that after a few months, I will be feeling like a totally new person! After all, life is all about the journey. Might as well have a challenge and reep the rewards!
I of course had strayed away again but am back at it hot and heavy. I really was not paying attention to what I was eating. Everything I eat, I think, what will it take to loose these calories? Is this good food? Am I really hungry? I also have really pushed the workouts from 10 mins. to at LEAST 20min per day. Sometimes up to 30 minutes. I did take up smoking but don't smoke a lot. I have a lot more energy these days and my clothes are feeling looser. I have even tucked my shirt in twice on some pants! Been years since I have done that!
The scale is crawling downward. Bought a new scale. Get on and get off. Done. I am still pushing the workouts. Watching my portions. My clothes are getting looser. I feel good. I feel in control of my eating and if I don't work out I miss it. That is very new to me. I enjoy working out. I feel good when I do, physically and mentally.

My Goals:
To feel more healthy and have more energy. To have my clothing fit better and maybe even buy some pretty, cute clothes!
I also want to stop smoking!
OK have done that too!
My Program:
Log everything that I eat! Exercise on my Gazelle rider while watching t.v. (Makes the time go by faster!)AND watch portions as well as all those yummy sweets I can get into. NO MORE. Moderation is the key.
Exercise at least 20 minutes a day. Listening to the ipod really helps the gazelle exercise. Time will fly by!
Personal Information:
Living in Ohio. Grew up in Michigan. 42 ( oh my gosh how did that happen?)
Oldest is 22 USMC, youngest son 5, middle guy is 17. Lover of pets! 3 canines and one Blue and Gold Macaw. Two Beta fish. Work for a Fortune 500 company. My husband, love of my life, accepts me however I am. Travel some with work. Makes is tough on the diet!
Husband has been moved to first shift. This is good! Although I eat a bit more now since we have the family dinner time. Is more difficult to stay on track, but now I can consontrate on my exercise a little more as my husband can entertain the little one.
Back to second shift but that is ok. Q is older and I go down to the den and exercise my heart out!
Other Information:
I love to read Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Creepier the better. Our house sits in the woods way off the road, so I usually end up scaring myself after reading. Husband works second shift, so it is me and the 5 year old mostly in the evenings.
Ok he is 7 now! Still at this!
