Hi I'm Kelley and I'm 29. I started sparkpeople in April and so far I've lost 12lbs. The going has been slow but I'm staying consistant, so hopefully the weight will start melting off. I've had a weight problem since I was 12 and now I'm looking to make a lifestyle change, drop lots of weight and get healthy. My starting weight was 220 and my goal is to be at 130 by 5/27/07 which is my 30th b-day.


UPDATE: As of 10/20/06 I've lost a total 25lbs and counting. I've even continued to lose while being sidelined due to a sprained knee and bronchitis!! I've stuck to my strict 1500 calorie diet ( with a couple slip days here and there) and I'm happy to say that the scale reading is still slowly decreasing. I'm quite happy with my progress no matter how slow it is. I've come to the conclusion that the slower I progress the more likely I am to keep my good habits and stay at my goal weight. I've lost lots of weight really fast before and it always seemed to creep back on. This time I'm doing it right and taking my time.

With another 60-65lbs to go.......I'm just chugging along and quite happy to take the scenic route!! LOL.....I know I'll reach my goal one way or another!

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 80-90lbs, drink more water, get into an exercise routine.....just get healthy!!


My Program:
I started off riding my stationary bike for 30 minutes 3 times a week........now I''m using exercise tapes, swimming, biking for at least 60 minutes 4-5 times a week with a goal to burn at least 3000 calories a week. I will increase this as time goes by or when I hit a plateau. I''m also eating between 1400-1700 calories a day and drinking 100ounces of water.

    wow honestly I just figured out how to post comments on this page! Im sorry if its been like a year since you have heard from me!....anyway I have been doing good. I havent lost any weight but I am just about over my binging and purging cycle... at least the purging part... I slip and stuff myself every once and a while. But it feels great to know that I am no longer a slave to my stupid habbits. How have you been?
