According to my latest doctor visit, I'm 5'2" tall. [Update: 10/28/11 I'm now 5'3" tall!]

My highest weight was 200lbs, pre-SparkPeople

January 20th, 2011 - Started SparkPeople at 190lbs; Size 14-16 pants, Size XL shirt.

February 7th, 2011 - Started walking 30 minutes, M-F,

March 19th, 2011 - 180lbs

May 31, 2011 - 170lbs

July 31, 2011 - At some point I hit 165lbs but then went back up to 169lbs and have been going up and down between 169 and 170lbs. Crazy! However, more importantly, I'm wearing Size 10 pants, Size 8 shorts, Size Medium blouse!

August 15, 2011 - 1st day at the gym! 5 mins Elliptical (Level 1), 10 mins (2 miles) bike machine, arm weights.

Sept. 3, 2011 - Back down to 165lbs. I'm now at 25 minutes at Level 2 on the Elliptical.

Oct. 28, 2011 - I'm still 168lbs but I'm starting to get a waist and my hip bones and ribs are closer to the surface so even though my weight is not changing I MUST be getting thinner and more fit. I can see it and feel it.

To lose 50-60lbs.

To not have to adjust my clothes to hide my fat.

To see my collar bones ankle bones, and knee bones again.

To have a thinner face.

To be healthy and fit in my 50s, which are only a few years away.



My Program:
Staying within my calorie range.

Cardio 5 days a week

Strength training 3 days per week.

    You know, I never really thought of the inches thing that way before! Almost 36 inches... almost 3 FEET!! That definitely helps put it into perspective. I know that I've come a long way, but looking at it that way really helps me realize just how far I've come! Thanks!!

    Thank you for the comment on my blog! I will ask what my coach thinks about the smart water, but until then I think I will go with her idea on Gatorade powder since today proved her right! I might have to buy a bottle or two to try it out as well!

    Unfortunately, I don't trust myself enough to make the cake. Every year I plan to have just a slice or two and then take the rest to work but it doesn't quite work out that way. I might get dessert when we go out for lunch/dinner next weekend if the craving is still there. I'm hoping it will pass by then, but we'll see!
