Hi my name is Paulette, I have been working on losing weight all my life, and I am not giving up! I may fall off the wagon on occassion but I refuse to give up. I have found that I have to do this for myself or it does not work. I know that with faith and God's grace I will reach my goals!

Fitness Minutes: 165

My Goals:
I just want to be healthier, feel better, and enjoy my family to best I can.

GOAL #1 - Commit to SPARK !

GOAL #2 - Commit to drinking minimum of 8 glasses of water a day! (I will not tell myself that I can not have my Diet Dr. Peppers, I find that if I say I CAN NOT have something I want it more, so lets just say that I have to drink the water first, then I may have Diet Dr. Peppers in moderation!)

GOAL #3 - Commit to doing exercise of some kind, as long as I am moving to burn calories. The longer I am with this program the more I know I can do!

GOAL #4 - Lose 15 lbs by my birthday (7/30/08) I know that this does not seem like a very extreme goal. I may be able to do more, but I want to take it off slowly. I want to be below 200 lbs by my birthday. I think this goal is realistic.

GOAL #5 - Hit goal #4 and then lose 25 lbs by Christmas.

My Program:
I have not really had a program up to this point.

Starting now, I will work with the program that SPARK has set up for me, I will have to tweak it I am sure. But I can update that as I go along.

I have 3 personal daily goals. I am striving to make these goals, and I know I can. As each of my goals are achieved, I hope to add additional goals.

Personal Information:
I was born in Michigan, lived there for 29 years until my husband had the opportunity to move to Tennessee for his work. After much soul searching we decided to make the move! We have not been sorry one time.
I have been married to a wonderful man for 25 years (just celebrated this anniversary this year). My husband is a one of a kind man. I think the mold was broke when he was born. He is a very caring and loving husband, and for the most part he is supportive in all that I do. I tell him he is like "Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way". He gets upset with me for saying that but in most cases it is true.
He is not a saint. So yes, there are times I want to strangle him! Sometimes he says things that really hurt my feelings. But for the most part, he is WONDERFUL.

Other Information:
Other than my husband, I have 2 sons, Joshua is 22 (almost 23, the end of May) and Andrew is 21.

I was never blessed with a daughter, but 2 years ago, my youngest son started dating a girl named Amanda, today, I have my girl. Amanda is the daughter I never had.

Amanda and Andrew have a beautiful son, his name is Ashton Paul. He is the light of my life! Who knew that grandchildren could mean so much, or that you could love them so much. Ashton was born on 11/29/07, he is now 5 months old and is growing like crazy.

    Hey sweet friend, how have you been doing!?!

    I hope you are having a safe and healthy summer! I wish I had conquered my weight loss with passion when I was young... I hate that I wasted 30 years living ashamed of my body.

    I wear a heart-rate monitor in my ZUMBA class and it said I burned 800 calories last night in my 1-hour class. Whoot!

    KNOW that you can do this!
    KNOW that this is YOUR TIME to become healthy, fit (and envied!)
    KNOW that if you really want something you will find a way-- the person who doesn't will find an excuse.
