My name is Lucy. I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I am married to the most wonderful guy and we have 2 boys, ages nine and five.

I was mostly skinny growing up, then I got married, got my first son and I guess I just got too comfortable. Before I knew it, I had become very uncomfortable in my body.

I did not make the decision to do something about my weight until after my second son was born. Of course I've fallen off the wagon a few times but I keep picking myself up and going on.

For me its all about being healthy and fit, the weightloss is just a bonus ( and a good one at that!). I love playing football with my boys and I hope to be able to do that for the longest time. I also realised that I am an endorphin junkie. I hardly weigh myself, I know that as long as I keep moving and I eat a sensible healthy diet, the weight will fall off. I do not want to be slowwed down or discouraged my a number on the scale.

My Goals:
1. Keep moving even when I don't feel like it.
2. Keep active on SP
3. Journal daily
4. 8+ cups of water daily
5. Track workouts on SP daily
6. Appreciate my efforts daily
7. Hug my kids every chance I get

My Program:
1. Strength training three times a week.
2. Cardio 6 times a week.
3. I hr walk in the morning, lunch hour and after work.

I am a Christian. I love reading Christian fiction especially by Francine Rivers and Karen Kingsbury.

Endorphin junkie, love Leslie Sansone walk at home videos and Turbo Jam. Most of my workouts are done in my living room using DVDs.

    Saw your huddle. I know the feeling of just getting too comfortable after having the kids. But the Spark is great 'cuz it keeps me motivated. i see you live in Kenya. I was actually born in Nigeria but have lived in South America almost all my life. Anyway good luck with the weight loss challenge!!! emoticon

    Thanks for commenting on my walking. I didn't get your previous comment because you put on your page, not mine (ooops!)

    I still haven't got out much, just to my back yard which is pretty large. I tried my elliptical and find my legs are much stronger than a few months ago. I have found when I walk outside it is so much different because the strides are longer and different muscles are used.

    I have my first 5K this weekend, I'll see how I do.

    I was really inspired by your comment on your first run! I would love to follow your progress. This is where I want to be in a couple months. But first, I have to get out and walk. Today I will start. It is sunny and 39 degrees in Florida. Some of my SparkFriends are running in the snow!
